  Know im saying the government SAYS it bases their decisions (regarding asbestos and lead) on science. Just like the WT SAYS its ideas about science are in correlation with the Bible.

  I just fessed up to my wife....told her how hurt i was, crued a bit...and we compromised and agreed we had to move. We are now in this process and i am leaving the home i grew up in to move to a place i only know one person.

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

  So if God is real he is bound by Scientific and physical Laws and principles. And yet if hes all powerful and knows all, sees all, blah blah....why doesnt he do anything? There is ZERO point in this logic. No reason to continue to let people suffer, no reason to not intervene (especially when he makes a mild summer to pring WT bibles eh? ;-), selectively destroy the bad eggs so the good genetics can thrive...honestly i dont really see one good thing about it....maybe false hope to get through tough times?

  Cold steel- you, mate, are stuck on thinking everything that tries to gain converts is a cult...mormons even say that christianity was and is a cult right?

  Bit imagine if people could hold their ideas, and i stress IDEAS, without being told they are wrong...and if the are wrong, having concrete proof to show it but without discrimination. Or better yet, imagine a place where things are NOT viewed in religous biases or preconceived notions....for me, call it atheism, but it is the natural world that is testable and observable that i find fascinating. Hide behind your walls of religion while pretending to accept all people but for le agnostics and atheists are the most open minded individuals ive met....

  its easy to say that your religion doesnt negate evolution...but ask yourself mate

  and really read each line and verse of your bible....Does science and the universe and evolution negate Religion or GOD....trust me there are MANY holes!

  What would intrigue me or at least seem more research-worthy is if an atheist had a near-death experience with zero religious indoctrination THEN said he went to heaven....i dream about cool stuff too! Doesnt make it real ....
